In this vast, wide open space that is the World Wide Web, one encounters literally millions and millions of forums and communities. If you're stumbling upon this site it's because you are a part of the RPG Maker Community, specifically VX.net.

As you know, and if you don't already know, vxnet is owned by a company. Not originally, though, originally it was owned by a person and administrated by a group of individuals called the moderating team. I was one of them until recently.

Back to this corporate deal, the idea of a site owned by a company isn't all that bad, right? Better support, better uptime, better liability. Right? Well, that would be the case if this company, which we'll hipotetically call "aientry" was even remotely efficient.

It's a well known fact that despite the fact this so called company makes a good buck out of adverts (shoved in the face all around too), they're incapable of delivering quality of service. Examples of this are their high unavailability, equally high downtime (both constant and long!) and overall "we just don't care" attitude.

So, a group of people, decided that since RPG Maker was finally getting official forums, the community should move to that place. A great idea if you ask me. Not only higher service is bound to come, but also news, support and etc.

So, envision this: you have a house with all your best friends. The house is literally a sinkhole, it's falling apart, you can't fix it and the landlord knows about managing and fixing it as much as I know about physics. Then comes along one of your friends and says "hey, let's move out to a new house!" wouldn't you instantly follow them? Of course you would!

So then the incompetent landlord comes up and say "Holy mikey mouse!" the [s]rats[/s] people I lend this house to are leaving? Not a chance in hell!" as you can imagine, no one really cares what is going on until someone puts their hands in their pockets, so this leads to Getdizzy becoming "random123" and Balarin becoming "troll345" so instantly all traces of what happened are gone... right?

So, where am I going with this? My point is that of you were, are or are considering to be, a member of the vx community, leave your old beat down house and move to a new shiny skyscrapper with the people who were responsible of the success the original house had.
